Hi John, Here's the email for Hilary Young at Don's String Shop. Thanks for asking. Hopefully I'll see you there!
Dubb,What an incredible concert in Byron.I havn't had a performer open up his life like you did since Harry Chapin did back in the 70's in South Bend.Thank God we have people like you to remind us that our lives really ain't that bad.I get very cynical and I needed your head reality check slap. Can't wait to see you again.Mike and Jacque
Thank you Mike and jacque- I really appreciate you taking the time to send that along. Glad I could help you some!
In the song "SEND THE SOUL ON HOME" there is a line about learning how to "give back the Lord my little boy." Did you lose a son or is it in reference to one of the other people mentioned in the song. Just curious. Love the song "Break the Chain" that you did with your son Jesse.
No I didn't lose a son. When my wife PJ was pregnant with Jesse Lloyd Glenn told me how to give that gift back to God. I'm glad you love Break The Chain and thanks for writing. My best- Doug
Craig and I so enjoyed our evening with you last night at The Gospel Lounge In KC. It was wonderful to meet you. You have such a beautiful heart. Your bucket runneth over and that helped to fill my own. : ) Thank you for spreading your love around the world. With love and many blessings to you on your journey!
Thank you Sophia- I appreciate you taking the time to write this. With my best wishes- Doug
Hi Doug, it's Carrie again. We met at the KNKX studio in Seattle. My husband wasn't able to attend your Dusty Strings workshop, but after I told him about you, he suggested the next time you're in the area, we host you for a house concert. We've hosted several other musicians. We usually get about 50 people and request a $20 donation (we're flexible). 100% of proceeds goes to musician. We have 3 guest bedrooms & provide dinner the night before & breakfast the following morning. Let me know if you're interested the next time you pass through. Carrie@WernickNewman.com 206-446-6522 (cell/text). In the group KNKX photo (if you received it), I'm the one on the far left. (Memory cue: husband dermatologist, discussed politics a bit, mentioned Puget Sound Guitar Workshop/camp, ...).
Hey Carrie, Absolutely that sounds great. The next time I'm coming up I'll give you a holler for sure. I'll send you an email so you can have my info. Thanks for asking! - Doug
